Description
People who have viewed this painting have "seen" numerous different images suggested by the design. Some have included stained glass windows, a jello dessert with whipped cream, and a garbage disposal, among numerous others. I was asked by a fellow artist to contribute a painting to a show she was having with a "Laundry" theme. Not wanting to do something obvious like clothes hanging from a clothesline, I decided to use the interesting shapes inside the tub of my washing machine. I chose vivid colors, not only to make it more appealing, but also to render the actual object less identifiable! This was quite a departure from my usual style, but I had fun with it!

It may have been a departure from your usual style as you describe, but it is wonderfully conceived, composed and executed. Love the colors and the abstraction. It goes to show true talent comes out, no matter what the subject your painting. fv
