Description
While traveling in the Napa Valley, we were treated to the beautiful and unexpected sight of multitudes of rose bushes surrounding the vineyards. There were roses of all colors, but these which began with a red/pink color in bud, then gradually opening to peach and light yellow with an orange glow between the petals, are the ones that captured my attention. They struck me as a kind of metaphor for the way we humans can change, as we open up to new experiences, information, and ideas, gradually allowing the "light" of wisdom and maturity to "unfold." This painting brings me feelings of hope and happiness whenever I look at it!
