Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

I have been seriously involved in watercolor painting for the last 20 years following retirement from my public school teaching career. Having the time to paint, along with the freedom from the need to make a living at the same time, has opened many wonderful new opportunities, friendships and experiences for me. I am a frequent exhibitor in art shows at the local, regional, state and national levels, having been honored to receive numerous awards for my work. My painting style is realistic. I am drawn to detail and favor the use of vivid color. I enjoy painting a variety of subject matter, but the glorious world of nature is what seems to suit me best. Many of my paintings reflect time spent outdoors, especially in the mountains...

I thought this was a photo that had been photoshoped until taking a closer look. Fabulous work!
Barbara Jewell replied:
Thanks so much for your comment, Robert! (Great idea for a contest, by the way!) Many people think as you did at first. This piece took me longer to complete than any I have done, and it is one of my personal favorites. Maybe thanks to this contest, it will get some closer looks. Thanks!!
